\n\tTaking advantage of icing bonuses paid by salmon processors often requires that fishers have insulated fish holds, totes, or slush bags for storing ice and chilling fish on board.  To ensure your operation is ready to ice, it's a good idea to check with your processor early to see what their icing plans are for the coming season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBBEDC owns two ice barges, the Bristol Maid and the Bristol Lady.  We also partner with fish processing companies and third parties to distribute ice in various fishing districts across Bristol Bay. The Bristol Maid is stationed off of Clarks Point in the Nushagak district during the salmon season, and the Bristol Lady is currently for sale. To find out more about our icing plans for the 2026 season, or to inquire about the Bristol Lady, please contact the Regional Fisheries Department.\n<\/p>\n
